A possible overnight home invasion in London Estates left two people dead, sheriff’s officials announced during a press conference this morning.
The crime happened on the 2500 block of Balchuck Lane off of FM 43 just after 1:30 a.m. Officials say they responded to a call about a possible murder-suicide at the home. Upon arrival, it was determined that it was instead a possible home invasion.
The deceased have been identified as 39-year-old Arturo Mario Lopez and 38-year-old Miriam Lopez. The next of kin has been notified.
Sheriff’s officials did not release any information pertaining to persons who may have been involved in the home invasion. The Nueces County Sheriff’s Office along with the Corpus Christi Police Department and Texas Rangers are in the early stages of their investigation.
