The man charged in the brutal death a young Corpus Christi woman will appear in court.
Joseph Tejeda, the man accused of killing Breanna Wood, will appear in court for a hearing on the status of an attorney. Previously, Tejeda has asked the judge for a court-appointed attorney.
Tejeda is accused of killing Breanna Wood then stuffing her body in a small box. Her body was found at an abandoned house near FM 666 and FM 1833 South of Bluntzer last Tuesday. A jail inmate who claims he was paid to get rid of her body led detectives to the scene.
Breanna was reported missing in October 2016.
