Corpus Christi police have announced they have made an arrest, connected to the death of Breanna Wood Monday afternoon.
According to police, Joseph Mathew Tejeda has been charged with the murder, and he is currently behind bars on an unrelated charge.
Investigators say that they were able to get a murder warrant after speaking with numerous people about the homicide investigation. Police also added that physical and circumstantial evidence had also been collected.
Detectives believe there will be no other arrests for Wood’s murder, but the case remains open and still being investigated.
