Corpus Christi Police Department confirm that they have found the body of Breanna Wood in Nueces County near FM 666 and FM 1833.

According to Sheriff Kaelin, CCPD detectives interviewed a Nueces County jail inmate yesterday. That inmate told detectives he was paid to dispose of a female’s body out in Nueces County.

This morning, the detectives picked up the inmate who led them to a home on FM 1833. CCPD detectives confirm the remains were of Breanna Wood.

The inmate is back in jail, on unrelated charges.

The body was picked up by the Medical Examiners office. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy.

Texas Rangers are also assisting in the investigation.

The owner of the property tells us the home is abandoned. It’s unclear if the remains were found inside or outside the home.

21-year-old Breanna Wood was reported missing back October after her mother last saw her on October 11th near the 900 block of Stone Street. Before her disappearance, police believe she was at the PMI Store on Tancahua Street with a 25-year-old man.

Police are still looking for her killer.
