7/26 updates:
10:45 p.m. - Kleberg County and the City of Kingsville have confirmed a third COVID-related death and 24 additional COVID-19 cases. The new cases push the cumulative total in Kleberg County to 308. There were 24 individuals released from isolation, dropping active COVID cases in the county to 95.
4:45 p.m. - Nueces County officials have announced four more COVID-19 related deaths, pushing the county's total to 141 during the pandemic.
The deaths were two males and two females with ages ranging in their 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.
County officials also announced 66 new cases have been diagnosed. 422 COVID-19 patients currently being hospitalized and 657 in the hospital, 152 of those currently in the hospital are in intensive care and 3,301 COVID patients have recovered.
7/25 updates:
4:48 p.m. - Nueces County has announced eight more COVID-19 related deaths, pushing the county's total to 137 during the pandemic.
The patients were six males and two females with ages ranging in their 40s, 50s (2), 60s, 70s (3) and 80s. The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension and coronary heart disease.
The county also announced that 215 new cases were reported Saturday; 410 COVID-19 patients currently in the hospital and 639 people total have been hospitalized, 156 of those currently in the hospital are in intensive care and 3,006 COVID patients have recovered.
7/24 updates:
6:18 p.m. - Bee Co. is reporting 71 additional cases of COVID-19, this raises the total of confirmed community cases to 304.
4:00 p.m. - Nueces Co. is reporting 5 new deaths due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 to 129. Nueces Co. also reports 179 positive cases, bringing its cumulative total of confirmed cases to 10,136.
3:51 p.m. - Aransas Co. reports 3 additional cases of COVID-19. This brings their total to 144 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
3:50 p.m. - San Patricio Co. reports 2 new cases of COVID-19, making the total of confirmed community cases to 666.
7/23 updates:
5:12 p.m. - City manager Peter Zanoni announced during Thursday's daily joint new briefing that both Gulf and bay beaches will be closed to pedestrians starting at noon Friday until 6 a.m. Monday so that the city can prepare for Tropical Depression No. 8.
4:55 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 354 new cases, bringing its cumulative total of confirmed cases to 9,961. Of those cases, 2,400 have recovered, but 421 are still hospitalized -- 13 more than Wednesday. The ICU is caring for 157 of those patients, 23 more than Wednesday.
Of the 250 tests done Thursday, 96 are confirmed positive cases.
4:39 p.m. - Nueces Co. reports eight new deaths Thursday. The deaths include five men and three women ranging in ages from 50-80 with underlying conditions such as hypertension, congestive heart failure and obesity.
2:11 p.m. - Duval County is reporting they now have 110 COVID-19 cases. 45 of those cases are recovered.
2:11 p.m. - Jim Hogg county is holding at 44 COVID-19 cases. 28 of those cases are recovered.
12:36 p.m. - Bee county officials have reported 15 new cases today making the total 233 confirmed community cases. The total is 285 including prisoner cases.

7/22 updates:
10:37 p.m. - Jim Wells Co. is reporting 14 new cases with a retraction of two, making its total case count 466.
5:01 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 502 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the county's total reported cases to 9,607. Of those cases, 1,986 patients have recovered and 134 remain hospitalized.
Public Health Director Annette Rodriguez said that many o the recent deaths have been innursing homes and assisted-living facilities, and have included doctors.
4:51 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting eight new deaths Wednesday; five men and two women ranging in ages from their 50s to their 90s.
2:15 p.m. - San Patricio County officials report there are 65 new cases in their county. That pushes the total in that county for the pandemic to 557 total cases. Two COVID patients remain in the hospital there and 291 are recovered.
7/21 updates:
10:58 p.m. - Kleberg Co. is reporting four new cases. Similarly to Monday, six confirmed cases were reported, but two were removed from the county's confirmed case because the patients reside inanother jurisdiction. It now has 283, with 129 active cases.
5:59 p.m. - Bee Co. is reporting 48 new COVID-19 cases for a total of 219.
5:41 p.m. - Nueces Co. is reporting 289 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county's total to 9,105. Officials are reporting that 1,203 patients have recovered from the virus, while 408 people still are hospitalized. Of those, 121 patients currently are in the ICU.
3:23 p.m. - The San Patricio Public Health Preparedness Department reports 52 new cases Tuesday in San Pat county. Out of 224 active cases, currently two are in the hospital.
The county says the immediate risk of transmission is intermediate.
8:30 a.m. - Duval County is reporting they are now at 106 COVID cases. 42 of those cases are recovered.
7/20 updates:
10:58 p.m. - Kleberg Co. is reporting an increase of 11 cases to its count. Monday brought 14 new confirmed cases to the county, but three prior cases were deemed to be residents outside of its jurisdiction, leaving it with a total of 11 new cases for Monday. It has had a total of 279 confirmed cases.
4:55 p.m. - Nueces County officials report 237 new cases of COVID-19 Monday.
There are currently 380 COVID-19 patients in Nueces county hospitals, of which 116 are in intensive care units.
With 8 new deaths reported today, there have been 103 reported COVID-19 related deaths.
4:41 p.m. - The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District reports eight COVID-19 related deaths Monday.
The patients were five men and three women with ages between 40 and 90. Hypertension, diabetes, and cancer were among the patient's comorbidities.
3:16 p.m. - San Patricio officials report 37 new cases with no changes in the hospitalizations count. Out of the county's 440 positive cases, 187 are active, and 10 people have been released from COVID-19 protocol. The county says their immediate risk of transmission is intermediate.
9:00 a.m.- Brooks County is now at 56 COVID-19 cases. While 34 cases have been recovered, 22 cases remain active. Live Oak is at 101 COVID-19 cases. 40 are recovering and 71 are active. Kleberg County is reporting five additional cases raising its total to 268 COVID-19 cases.
8:40 a.m.- Bee County reports 14 new cases Monday. Those new cases raise the total to 215 COVID-19 cases.
8:00 a.m.- Duval County went up to 105 COVID-10 cases this weekend. They also now have 45 that are recovered. Jim Hogg County has 45 COVID-19 cases 28 of those cases are recovered while 14 remain active.
