CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that broke out inside a vacant motel.
Fire crews were called out to the La Siesta Motel on Leopard Street and Van Cleave Drive around 6 pm Wednesday.
When fire fighters arrived, one of the buildings was covered in flames.
CCFD Chief J.D. Johnson said there was substantial damage to the structure.
Chief Johnson added they had control time within ten minutes.
An investigation into the cause is now underway. Fire investigators said the electricity and gas had been cut off for quite awhile.
