CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera tells Scripps Communications that three arrests have been made in connection with the death of Manuel Pardo.

Ruben T. Gomez, 28, and 18-year-old Alex R. Mireles have been charged with Capital Murder. And 18-year-old Jose F. Espinoza has been charged with unauthorized use of Pardo’s truck.

"Our investigators and forensic team have done an outstanding job with this complex case," Rivera said in his Facebook post. "Justice starts with communities getting involved. Our sincere thanks to those who called to make this happen. God bless the family."

The sheriff says his truck as stolen and that's led to the capital murder charge.

There's no word yet on his cause of death. The sheriff said that foul play was suspected.

Funeral services were held this morning for Pardo, who was buried at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
