CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The live Nativity scene at St. John Paul II High School began yesterday, the first day of Advent. That’s the holiday observed in many Christian churches as a time of waiting and preparation to celebrate the Nativity of Jesus.
Advent is from a version of a Latin word that means "coming."
This live nativity will be on display through tomorrow from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
To get to the site, take the entrance to Bishop Garriga Middle School and follow the shepherds who will be pointing the way.
There's also hot chocolate and cookies available.
