CORPUS CHRISTI — You can expect fewer showers as we head into the weekend.

The low pressure system that gave us the three days of showers has moved west.

We will see more sun and fewer clouds through Monday,

By Monday a tropical wave rolls back into the coast and that will give us another string of days with scattered showers for next week.

On the horizon in about 12 days, we should see the first major cold front of the season move into North Texas. It will plunge temperatures about 20 degrees up there with only a bit of a cool down for us.

Tropical Storm 9 is gathering strength over the Bahamas and will become a Tropical Storm Humberto over the weekend as it moves over the Florida coast. There is very little chance of it backing up into the Gulf.

Today: Partly cloudy and warm. Only a stray shower. High 92.

Saturday: Partly cloudy and warmer. High 94.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and warm. High 93.

Monday: Turning cloudy with isolated showers. High 92.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. High 90.
