ROBSTOWN, TEXAS — Grammy winner Joe Lopez is launching a comeback tour and it includes a concert here.
Lopez was released from prison in March 2018 after serving 12 years of a 20 year sentence for raping his 13-year old niece.
The former lead singer for "Grupo Mazz" is hoping to relaunch his career with a sold-out concert, a week from Friday in Houston.
Lopez also had to get an "okay" from the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to perform in Harris County because that's where his victim lives.
Lopez is also scheduled to perform at the Borchard Fairgrounds on Saturday December 14, 2019.
No one under the age of 21 will be allowed to attend.
