INGLESIDE, Texas — An Ingleside teen who was reported missing by her mother back in January has been found.

16-year-old Jazlynn Saldivar was found in a Weslaco apartment yesterday.

Investigators got information that she was living there with her 18-year-old boyfriend.

The apartment was put under surveillance and authorities saw the boyfriend, Jose Sauceda, leave for work.

He was questioned and authorities went back to the apartment and found Jazlynn.

She was brought back to Ingleside last night and was turned over to a guardian.

“It's very unusual for a child of that age, even if they do run away, to just drop off with no communication, no social media, no calling friends, or anything like that,” Ingleside Police Department Chief Tammy Burr said. “So we were very concerned about her safety, we didn't know what happened to her and that's what we wanted to find out.”

The girl's boyfriend is facing a charge of harboring a runaway.

Several agencies, including the Ingleside Police Department, the Texas Rangers and the Department of Homeland Security, were involved in this case.
