‘Run the Runway’ to benefit USO South Texas

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Runners of all ages will have the unique opportunity to go where few have gone before when they run the runway at the Corpus Christi International Airport on Saturday, Nov. 23.

The adult 5K begins at 8 AM and will also feature a special 1K race for children, with all proceeds going directly to USO South Texas.

The race will be chip-timed with multiple age groups and awards going out to top three finishers in 12 age categories, male and female, as well as an overall male and female winner. Awards for the winners will be custom-made for the event.

Also, the first 500 to finish the 5K will receive specially designed medals.

Food trucks will be on site.

Registration will be $30 until Nov. 15. After that, cost will be $35. Cost for those 14 and under through race day will be $15. Kids running in the 1K are free, although they must still register.

Packet pick-up will be Friday Nov. 22 at the Del Mar Hangar at the airport from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
