ROCKPORT, TEXAS — Based on the popular response of its 4th of July evening swim, the Community Aquatic and Skate Park will be hosting two more events. The first is a “Summer Night Swim” on Thursday, July 25 from 6:30 – 9:39 pm. The second is a “Back to School Splash” on Friday, August 9 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.
The pool will be open normal hours from 9 am – 5 pm each day. It will re-open for these special events. Visitors can enjoy swimming, evening tropical breezes and music. The concessions stand will be hot dogs, pizza, water, soft drinks and other items.
Admission is $4 for students and $5 for adults. The Aquatic Center will not be offering free readmission to those who visited earlier in the day.
Nestled within a 12-acre live oak forest, the Community Aquatic and Skate Park is open year-round. The park houses an 8-lane, heated, 25-yard pool and diving area, a whale shaped zero-depth entry children's pool with slides and sprays, a bathhouse, and a 6,000 square foot modular skate park. Adjacent to the aquatic and skate park is a picnic area, playground, a 1/4 mile nature trail, and access to the Tule Hike and Bike Trail.
This facility is collectively funded by the City of Rockport, Town of Fulton and Aransas County. It is managed by the City of Rockport.
