PORT ARANSAS, Texas — Those who frequent Port Aransas can tell you that it is a community where both art and artists have found a home.
Need proof? Then come to the 13th Annual Port Aransas Art Walk this Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m.
Also known as ‘Art About,’ this event is designed to promote art and culture, and to let everyone know that Port A is “Port Arty.”
Each year, those who attend are encouraged to walk, bike or take a cart and visit each of the Art Walk’s participating locations, in order to meet gallery owners, artists and others who are passionate about the art culture that enlivens the Port A community.
The self-guided tour begins in Old Town and winds out Highway 361. It features 18 galleries, studios and design shops with refreshments served along the way.
The tour may be started at any point, and maps are available at each of the participating locations.
