GARLAND, TEXAS — Police in Texas are investigating what led to the death of an infant, found dead in a car at a car wash.
Garland police say a father found his nine-month-old daughter dead in the back seat of his car just after five Thursday evening.
A car wash employee said the father had gone through the car wash then pulled up to the vacuum center.
Minutes later, he saw the father screaming and running toward a fire truck holding his baby.
Police are trying to figure out how long the child was in the car.
It's too soon to say how the girl died, but officers are looking at heat as a factor.
