CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — On Wednesday, the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation will present ‘Mi Casa Es Su Casa,’ an event honoring the wives of our Coastal Bend legislators.

Established in 2011 by the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, ‘Mi Casa Es Su Casa’ is a mixer designed to celebrate the success of professional women who are making a difference in our community. More than 50 local women have been honored at this event through the years. This year’s honorees will be Matilda Carrizales Herrero, Amanda Ramos Hinojosa and Alexis Taylor Hunter.

Proceeds from the gathering directly benefit the Mano a Mano Empowerment Scholarship Program, a Chamber Foundation initiative developed to encourage students to continue their education locally and to promote the growth of a highly skilled and qualified workforce. Since its inception, the program has awarded over $650,000 in scholarships to local students.

‘Mi Casa Es Su Casa’ will be hosted in the CITGO Skyline Venue at the Texas State Aquarium (2710 N. Shoreline Blvd.) from 5 to 7 p.m.

The cost for women is either $25 (Chamber members) or $30 (non-members). Gentlemen are welcome to attend with a $50 admission fee.
