JIM WELLS COUNTY, TX — Friday, the Jim Wells Sheriff's Department learned an inmate tested positive for COVID-19.
Since then, five other inmates who were in the same dorm also tested positive.
The Sheriff's department said jailers were tested and their results came back negative.
The Jim Wells County Jail had been COVID-free for ten months.
