CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Former San Antonio Spurs player and NBA champion Sean Elliott will be the featured speaker at the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islanders Tip-Off Dinner on Sunday.
This year's event will be held at the Art Museum of South Texas, 1902 N. Shoreline Blvd.
Elliott played college basketball at the University of Arizona and, in 1989, was drafted with the third overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs. He was an NBA All-Star in 1995 and 1996 and helped the Spurs to their first NBA championship in 1999.
Doors for the main event open at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner and Elliott’s keynote address. The evening will also feature comments from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball coach Willis Wilson and women's coach Royce Chadwick.
