ARANSAS COUNTY, Texas — ‘Growing Tomorrow’ has been chosen as the theme for the second annual Coastal Bend Children’s Conference, put together once again by the Children’s Coalition of Aransas County and happening Feb. 22 at Rockport-Fulton High School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This conference is designed to provide inspiration and information for all of those who work with children as early childhood educators. It is for teachers, paraprofessionals, child care providers, Sunday School teachers, church nursery workers, Mother’s Day Out staff, family child care providers, in-home babysitters and parents.

Dr. Pam Schiller, a nationally known author and early childhood expert, will serve as a Keynote Speaker. Her address, ‘Right from the Start,’ will focus on social and emotional influences on brain development in early childhood.

There will be three breakout sessions, with a wide variety of topics addressed. Following lunch, a video presentation will be made by the beloved early childhood expert, Dr. Jean. She will share ideas and activities for transitions throughout the early childhood day.

The closing session will feature door prizes from vendors such as Lakeshore Learning Materials and Kaplan Early Learning Materials. Participants will receive certificates for six clock hours of training and/or PDUs from Education Service Center Region 2.
