CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — CASA of the Coastal Bend is once again stepping in to help foster children in our community during Christmas, with their 5th Annual Santa Cause Toy Drive.

Donations of unwrapped toys for newborns through 18 yrs. may be dropped off Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SAMES Ford (4721 Ayers St.).

There will be vendors on hand for those who would like to do a little Christmas shopping. Corner Bakery will be there with snacks, pictures will be taken with Santa and #CCGrinch, and radio station Retro 104.1 will lend their support to the toy drive with music and special guest Johnny Keyser.

SAMES Ford is also offering a free oil change to anyone who brings in an unwrapped gift.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is hoping to help make the holidays special for children in foster care, many of whom are experiencing the trauma of separation from all that they have known. CASA trains volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care. The items collected during the toy drive will be given to CASA volunteers to deliver to the foster children they serve.
