AEP restores power along the Oso Bay area, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi campus

More than 2.000 customers are without power along the Oso Bay area.

According to AEP Texas, the area in and around Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Pharaoh Valley subdivision has been without power since 1:45 p.m. Crews have been dispatched. At last report, power could be restored by 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, students at Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi were issued a Code Blue.

The message stated: "TAMU-CC Code Blue: Power outage expected to continue until approx. 5 p.m. today. Students, faculty, and staff are asked to leave campus at this time. Evening classes and activities starting after 5 p.m. today will continue as scheduled, pending power restoration. We will send updates as available.

Rec Sports Camp, Volleyball Camp, and Band Camp will continue with limited activities through normal pickup hours.

AEP representatives said: "We are aware of the situation. We have crews on the way. Power is out in the area in and around TAMUCC and Pharaoh Valley subdivision. Power could be restored by 4:30 pm."
