ARANSAS PASS, TX — The Rialto Theater (327 S. Commercial Street in Aransas Pass) is getting ready to present their latest production, “Church Basement Ladies.”

This new musical comedy is inspired by the books of Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson, authors of the best- seller, “Growing Up Lutheran.”

Set in rural Minnesota in 1965, this show features the ladies of a local church who fortify their flock with love, wisdom and, of course, the food they prepare in the church’s basement kitchen. Original music, endearing characters, and side[dish]-splitting scenes promise to yield a deliciously funny experience.

The production will run for three weekends, Jan. 17 through Feb. 2. It begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Reserved tickets are $20 for adults and are available online at www.rialtotheater.org or at the box office. The theater opens one hour before curtain.
