ESPN has reported that "Jason Garrett's time with the Dallas Cowboys is coming to an end."

While most have seen Garrett's dismissal as a foregone conclusion after going 8-8 in 2019 -- the team's fourth .500 finish in Garrett's nine seasons at the helm -- the network's Dallas-based NFL reporter Ed Werder has come the closest to getting confirmation that the team is, indeed, parting ways with its coach.

Garrett has amassed a 59-48 record after taking the reins from Wade Phillips in 2010. His contract expires Jan. 14.

Werder also pointed out that the Jones' strategy up to this point has been a deliberate one.

Interestingly, no other major news sources has picked up this stories since ESPN.com dropped its apparant bombshell last night.

What will it mean going forward?

We'll be here to report the latest.
