Mark your calendars for Nov. 23, because the 4th annual Corpus Christi Wine Festival is right around the corner.
The local festival offers wine tasting, shopping, food and entertainment in beautiful Heritage Park and is a perfect way to spend a Saturday -- enjoying live music while sipping wine, and maybe even doing some holiday shopping.
Vendors will be selling myriad items -- from jewelry to home decor and art.
Throughout the day, you can enjoy live music on the Plaza Stage, located in the heart of Heritage Park. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy this year's headliner, Citizen Cope.
Attendees can find their wine tasting starter pack at the main entrance off of Chaparral Street. The starter pack will consist of a wine glass, 10 wine-tasting tickets, a wine-tasting bracelet, and an event program with a map and wine list. If you purchased your starter pack online, you can pick it up at the main entrance during check-in.
And definitely don't forget your ID! Vendors will need to verify that you are old enough to consume alcohol. To make it easier on volunteers, you will be given a 21 and over wristband at check-in.
Keep in mind, only tickets will be accepted for wine tastings. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1 at the main entrance or ticket booths located within Heritage Park. A "taste" of wine (1.5 oz) will cost you 2-4 tickets. A glass (5 ozs) will cost you 7-14 tickets. You will also be able to purchase bottles of wine. However, bottles purchased on-site are for consumption OFF SITE. Corking of wine bottles will not be allowed on premises.
If wine isn't your thing, no worries, craft beer will also be offered at the festival.
The festival also will offer fun activities like a grape stomp, live painting, and other fun, friendly competitions.
