9/20 updates:

4:40 p.m. - Nueces County reports no new COVID deaths and 16 new cases on Sunday. It boosts the pandemic-wide numbers for the county to 20,002 reported cases and 403 deaths. Of the total COVID cases in the county, 19,266 have recovered.

9/19 updates:

4:40 p.m. - Nueces County reports two new COVID deaths and 30 new cases on Saturday. It boosts the pandemic-wide numbers for the county to 19,986 reported cases and 403 deaths. Of the total COVID cases in the county, 19,220 have recovered.

9/18 updates:

5:15 p.m. - Nueces County reports no new COVID deaths and 43 new cases on Friday. It boosts the number to 19,956 reported cases and 401 deaths. And of the total COVID cases, 19,201 have recovered.

9/17 updates:

5:10 p.m. Nueces County reports 38 new cases on Thursday for a total of 19,913 reported cases since March. Of those patients, 19,061 have recovered.

4:04 p.m. Nueces County is reporting one new death, a woman in her 50s.

3:44 p.m. San Patricio County reported three new cases Thursday. It has now had 1,398 reported cases. Aransas County is reporting five new cases, bringing its total to 307.

9/16 updates:

7:39 p.m. Kingsville and Kleberg County reported one new case Wednesday, bring its total of reported cases to 967.

5:33 p.m. Nueces County is reporting 30 new cases for a total of `19,875 confirmed cases. Of those, 18.948 have recovered.

4:20 p.m. Nueces County is reporting three new COVID-19-related deaths on Wednesday. The patients all were woman ranging in age from 60 to 99.

4:16 p.m. - Duval County is reporting it has had 364 total cases.

3:27 p.m. - San Patricio County reporting Wednesday that it has had 1,395 total cases. Aransas County has had a total of 302.

9/15 updates:

5:17 p.m. - Local health authority and infectious disease specialist Dr. Srikanth Ramachandruni confirmed in a news conference Tuesday that a baby that died after being infected with coronavirus did in fact die from COVID-19 complications.

The autopsy results conclude that the less than 6-month-old baby died from the medical complications of a COVID-19 viral infection. Dr. Ramachandruni also mentioned bronchopneumonia as another notable condition.

Ramachandruni also said the child did not have any pre-existing health conditions.

According to a press release from the city, in early July, the baby was admitted to the hospital with respiratory-like symptoms, treated and later discharged home.

A week later the baby was found unresponsive at home and passed away.

5:05 p.m. - City/county public health officials announced 99 new COVID cases on Tuesday, bumping the pandemic-wide total in the county to 19,845. Tuesday's figures indicate that 18,808 patients have recovered with 91 currently in the hospital and 29 of those in ICU.

4:03 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District recorded one COVID-19 related death on Tuesday, pushing the pandemic-wide total to 397. The patient was a male in his 70s.

3:42 p.m. - Kleberg reported 6 additional cases last night, raising the total to 964.

3:41 p.m. - Jim Wells County reports 1 additional case, raising the total to 1,384.

3:40 p.m. - Brooks county remains at 282 total cases.

3:40 p.m. - Live Oak county now has a total of 424 cases.

2:30 p.m. - The Nueces County Health District confirmed Tuesday that a baby in Nueces county, less than 6-months of age, was diagnosed with COVID-19 and later passed away.

According to a press release from the city, in early July, the baby was admitted to the hospital with respiratory like symptoms, treated, and later discharged home.

A week later the baby was found unresponsive at home and passed away.

The Health District will update the public on the autopsy of this specific case Tuesday at 5 p.m. by our local health authority, Dr. Ramachandruni M.D..

9/14 updates

4:54 p.m. - 111 new cases confirmed in Nueces County making 19,746 total. 18,808 have recovered in the county.

4:46 p.m. - The Nueces County Public Health District has recorded six more COVID deaths on Monday. The fatalities push the county's pandemic-wide number to 396. The patients were four males and two females, ranging in their 40s, 50s, 70s, 80s (2) and 90s. The comorbidities of the patients included heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes.

3:26 p.m. - San Patricio County confirms 1,384 total coronavirus cases Monday.

3:26 p.m. - Aransas County confirms 302 total coronavirus cases Monday.

3:22 p.m. - Jim Wells County Judge Juan Rodriguez and the Office of Emergency Management confirm 14 new cases bringing the total number of cases to 1,384.

3:22 p.m. - Brooks county remains at 282 total coronavirus cases Monday.

3:22 p.m. - Live Oak County confirms 416 total coronavirus cases. Out of these cases, 209 of them are FCI inmates and the remaining 207 are not.

3:22 p.m. - Over the weekend, Kleberg County reported a cumulative count of 958 coroanvirus cases and a cumulative death total of 37.
