CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — This weekend you can learn about all kinds of creatures and even take one home.
It's the annual "Herps Exotic Reptile and Pet Show.'
Organizers say it's the only reptile expo in the Coastal Bend.
It includes thousands of reptiles, but also insects, and other creepy crawlers.
Some people came for knowledge and left with a new friend.
"I think it's the way they're bred, and all the different colorations and all that stuff and more or less the activity of how they're kept as pets," said Paul Martinez, who bought a snake at this year's event.
The event ends Sunday, Feb 23.
