Rodeo coming back to Kingsville over the weekend

KINGSVILLE, Texas — Bull-riding fans in Kingsville need to get ready.

The "Hottest 8 seconds of 2020" are coming back with the Coors Light NPBR bringing some of the nations top bull riders for a two-day event starting today at the J.K. Northway Coliseum in Kingsville. It will conclude on Saturday.

And also returning this year will be the South Texas Bull Fight Challenge. Six top freestyle bull fighters will be competing against each other as they go one-on-one against a Mexican Fighting bull for 70 seconds.

The NPBR is one of the premier bull-riding tours in the country and has been around since 2000. There will be something for everyone including food, vendors, bucking machine and a calf scramble for the kids.

Pre-sale tickets will be available at Cavender’s in Corpus Christi and Farmers Exchange in Kingsville. VIP tickets will be $20 pre-sale and $22 at the gate. Adults general admission tickets are $12 presale and $14 at the gate. Kids (6-12 years) are $7 pre-sale and $8 at the gate and kids 5 & under are free.

Action will begin at 8 p.m. both nights with doors opening at 6 p.m. for each competition.
