Food Truck Christmas Village this weekend
Holidays and food go hand in hand.
The Food Truck Christmas Village 2019 is this Saturday, Nov. 30. It all goes down at Heritage Park from Noon to Midnight.
"Bring your family out for a night, not to be missed, for a Christmas Celebration," their post says. "The Food Trucks are coming to town! Gourmet food trucks will gather on location offering all of your food favorites."
Get your Christmas shopping done at the shopping zone while your kids play at the Santa's Elves Play Zone or the petting zoo and mini-horse ride.
Also, Santa Clause himself will be taking pictures from 3 pm to 6 pm so don't forget your camera.
Admission is free and open to the public.

Peppermint Lane kicks off this Saturday
A throwback holiday tradition is back for it's second year.
Peppermint Lane was a tradition that started back In the 1960's. According to the Downtown Management District, Chaparral Street had pictures with Santa Claus, carnivals rides, and was your one stop shop for all your holiday shopping needs back in the day.
The Downtown Management District has brought the nostalgic event back for its second year after its hiatus.
This year, grab the official Peppermint Lane t-shirt and Downtown Corpus Christi Coloring Book before they run out.
Enjoy music from Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, Chicas Rock Music Camp and Clarissa Serna!

La Retama Library launching VR program for kids
Our local library has embraced virtual reality technology.
This awesome program allows students from 12 to 17 to get some hands on learning experience learning with technological innovations.
La Retama Library invites local students to join the "Assembler Squad,"to focus on the world of virtual reality, also known as VR.
The free event is open to the public. It starts at 2 pm on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 805 Comanche Street.

Annual Live Nativity opens this Sunday
St. John Paul II High Schools hosts their annual Live Nativity Scene starting this weekend.
The tradition has been around since the school opened in 2006.
Every year, students get together to organize a telling of the Nativity story by dressing up and posing in front of scenery.
"Every grade has a role to play from Freshman Shepherds and Angels, to Seniors portraying the Virgin Mary and Joseph and every grade in between." says their press release.
The interactive event allows people to walk or drive around the St. John Paul II campus and witness the Nativity story live while enjoying complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.
You can check it out between 6 pm and 8 pm starting this Sunday at St. John Paul II High School, 3036 Saratoga Blvd., Corpus Christi, Texas.
If you miss it on Sunday, you can still catch it the following days on Dec. 2 and 3.
