CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — You can enjoy the art of Lucha Libre at our local library this Saturday.
The Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Public Library invites the public to this family friendly free event. It takes place at 5930 Brockhampton Street this Saturday, Oct. 26, from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Attendees of "Lucha Libra at the Library" will learn about the history of lucha libre, enjoy a screening of "Nacho Libre," and witness action packed wrestling matches from locally trained wrestlers.
"Lucha libre’s Mexican roots date back to the 19th century," the city's press release says. "The sport is known for its fast-paced moves and colorful masks used to help distinguish wrestlers."
