CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We have compiled a short list of fun going on this weekend just for you. Check it.

FRIDAY

Robstown ISD providing community with free food

Robstown ISD and the Coastal Bend Food Bank is hosting their first ever "Free food drop."

Members of the community will be able to stop by 609 W. Hwy 44, Robstown, TX 78380 and pick up fresh produce, meat, and dairy products for their homes.

The event happens Friday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. until they run out of food. Food will be issued on a first come first serve basis.

Organizers say that no proof of residency is required.

'Pints for a Purpose' raises money for Alzheimer's Association

Join Lazy Beach Brewing company to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association: San Antonio & South Texas.

The party starts at 5 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 31.

There will be live music from Narjeetosfrom 7 p.m. to 10 p.m..

Jimmy E's Mobile Bistro will have food on site.

Raffle tickets will be $2 and a portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to the ALZ Association of South Texas.

Local burger joint hosting first Nostalgia Nite of 2020

Snapka's Drive inn will have some classic cars form the 50's, 60's, and 70's for Nostalgia Nite!

The classic style drive inn is going back in time for the first time in 2020.

"The last Friday will be perfect weather for some tacos and a malt! Get out of the house, make some new friends, and see some old cars! Hope to see YOU there!," their event page says.

This family friendly event is free and open to the public. It starts at 5 pm Friday, Jan 31, and goes until 10 pm.

Legend of Billy Jean movie party benefits American Cancer Society

Come check out the cult classic, "The Legend of Billy Jean" this Saturday.

The movie came out in 1985 and has a special connection to the Coastal Bend.

"Come see the hallmark locations of Corpus Christi and Port Aransas on the big screen and sing along to some awesome 80s music while watching the ultimate teen vs adults movie," their event page says.

Tickets are $25 and all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Local artists debuting collaborative art this Saturday

The Art Museum of South Texas is turning the museum into an art party this Saturday.

"Join us for a night of music, dancing, food, drinks, art, and skyline views from the Outdoor Patio on top of the museum," their event page says.

The event is called the ARTLowDown and is meant to celebrate our Exquisite City in the tradition of the surrealists.

Gerald Lopez and Clay Reuter will be showcasing their "mysterious collaborative art projects.

Weaselis spinning the tunes. JalaPeña's Salsa and Cateringwill have the grub.

Kleberg Bank sponsors this on night event, Saturday, Feb. 1, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m..

Museum members and TAMUCC students get in free. Otherwise admission is $10.
