CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An informational nature walk provided some information on what local wild plants are considered edible and even some recipes.
It's called "wild edibles in the garden" and it was put on by Keepers of the Garden, a local community garden.
The class teaches you exactly what is edible, what can be used as medicine, and what you should avoid all around you.
“These are things we walk over every day, and we may think that they are weeds,” says Tevin Gray of Keepers of the Garden. “But for the most part, they usually have a use which is really neat.”
Gray says once you know what you're looking at, you'll be able to know the practicality of keeping the plants around.
