A local non-profit scheduled to host its signature luncheon Wednesday instead has taken its fundraising efforts online.
Foster Angels Of South Texas helps children in foster care in 19 counties in the Coastal Bend and the Rio Grande Valley.
The group takes a child's request -- anything from a pair of glasses, a bed, to even visiting with their siblings who may be far away -- and makes it happen.
"Every donation that we receive goes directly to the request that we receive and fulfill within 48 hours," said Foster Angels of South Texas' Trista McGinnis.
