The League of Women Voters-Corpus Christi will kick off its 2019 year with a meeting and luncheon on Thursday, January 17, 2019, from 11:30 am-1 p.m. that includes free training for League and community individuals who want to be deputized as Voter Registrars for 2019 and 2020.
The training (about 45 minutes, beginning at 12:10 pm) will be conducted by Brenda Nunez, Voter Registration Supervisor for Nueces County. Location will be at the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development @ the intersection of South Staples and Kostoryz, across from WB Ray High School.
Participants who complete the training will receive voter registration materials and their DVR number and may begin registering voters.
Prior to Nunez’ training, League business will be discussed beginning at 11:50 a.m. and a sandwich box lunch will be available for those wishing to order the meal. Cost is $10 and lunch reservations are required by placing orders at lwvcorpuschristi@gmail.com or calling the League at 445-4436 and leaving a message. Lunch reservations are required by Tuesday noon, January 15.
