CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The American Diabetes Association's Camp Sandcastle received a huge donation today.
Nueces County Precinct 4 Commissioner Brent Chesney presented the association with a check for $45,200.
The money was raised from the annual Sandcastle 5K Run and Walk fundraiser that was held in July.
All proceeds will go to support the tuition for Camp Sandcastle, which is a week-long day camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes.
