Need a reason to visit Port Aransas over the Memorial Day weekend? Then consider checking out the 14th annual Artfest.
Presented by the Port Aransas Art Center, Artfest will once again showcase a variety of items, including original paintings and drawings, as well as pottery, photography, glass art, shell art, and jewelry. There will also be wood carvings and sculptures made of various materials.
Guests are invited to stroll through the artist booths while listening to music provided by musicians who will be strolling around the park.
Those who choose to spend time in the shaded seating beneath the big tent will find an acoustic music line-up on stage.
Food and beverages available from a variety of vendors.
Artfest is happening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Jerry McDonald Field (Avenue C & Alister Street).
Admission is $5 for adults (two-day pass $8) cash only. Children under 12 will be allowed in for free. All entrance fees benefit the Port A Art Center.
