The people at Corpus Christi Animal Care Services are looking for permanent homes for the animals they care for, including our featured Pet of the Week.
Pookie is an athletically-built 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. She came in with a puppy, who has since been adopted.
If you choose to adopt this girl, please plan on allowing her to be active! Not only is she energetic, she is also curious and friendly. Pookie would likely have a lot of fun playing with her new owners. She has already been spayed and microchipped and is ready to go to her new home.
CCACS suggests that before adopting Pookie, you bring in any other dogs you already have in order to make sure that they will get along, as she has proven at times to be “animal selective.”
A quick reminder that the “Woof Pack” Reading Club continues each Thursday at 4 p.m. Young readers are invited to stop by and sharpen their reading skills while reading to the animals at the 2626 Holly Road facility.
Anyone interested in adopting any of the animals being cared for by CCACS should go by any afternoon from 1 to 5:30 p.m. (including weekends). You may also call (361) 826-4630.
Be sure to visit the CCACS Facebook page: www.facebook.com/corpuschristianimalcareservices.
You can also go to www.PetHarbor.com where you will find pictures and information on all of the animals who are brought to CCACS.
