For 39 years YWCA has honored professional women who make a significant impact on their career fields.
“Nominations are open for the 2019 Y Women in Career Awards,” said YWCA President/CEO Nancy Wesson-Dodd. “We invite you to nominate a professional woman who excels in her field. There are many such women in the Coastal Bend. You know that accomplished woman who should receive this honor, so nominate her today. You don’t know whether she will win, but she won’t win if you don’t nominate her.”
There are no categories for nominations. Fields include
- education,
- business,
- the arts,
- healthcare and science,
- communications,
- technology,
- trades and professions,
- industry,
- non-profit.
“Nominees have achieved recognition in their fields and have at least 10 years’ experience,” said Wesson-Dodd.
Y Women in Careers Award nomination forms are available at www.ywcacc.org. Nominations should be five pages maximum and include all required information. Deadline for submission is Thursday, December 6th at 5:00 p.m.
Honorees will be announced at a press conference Thursday, January 17, 2019. Awards banquet will be Thursday, March 7, 2019.
