For the 8th year, Valero and the Corpus Christi Police Athletic League (CC-PAL) are teaming up for their annual charity Dove Hunt/Skeet Shoot!

The event is happening once again at the Berry Lonesome Dove Ranch (20168 McGloin St., Mathis — near Old San Patricio) and will take place from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 6th.

All proceeds from the fundraising event will benefit CC-PAL, an organization started in 2003 with a mission to utilize athletic, recreational and educational programs to help prevent and reduce juvenile crime. Around 3,000 children participate yearly in CC-PAL’s numerous activities, which include basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, martial arts and tutoring.

Last year’s Dove Hunt and Skeet Shoot raised more than $151,000. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $1 million for CC-PAL.

In addition to dove hunting and skeet & trap shooting, this year’s gathering will include all you can eat and drink, and a raffle with a Kubota 4WD Diesel Utility Vehicle RTV-X1140 4-Seat Camo with ATV tires up for grabs (a $25,000 value).

Tickets are $100 each. Sponsorships are also available and range from $1,000 to $10,000.

To purchase tickets, contact Patsy Benchoff with Valero at (361) 289-3104. You may also email patsy.benchoff@valero.com.
