Come September, our local pools are going to the dogs!

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department is bringing back the popular Doggy Dip during September — news that is sure to set tails wagging with excitement. This will be the last big splash of the summer before each pool closes for the season.

Doggy Dip play days will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the following Saturdays:

  • September 8: Oso Pool (1109 Bernice Drive)
  • September 15: West Guth Pool (9705 Up River Road)
  • September 22: Greenwood Pool (4305 Greenwood Drive)
  • September 29: T.C. Ayers Pool (926 Coke Street)

Dogs swim at their own risk and that of their owner. Any dog owner wishing to participate must provide proof of distemper, parvo and rabies shots before their dog will be permitted into the pool facility. Although the leash law will not be in effect, unruly pups will be asked to leave. All owners are expected to clean up after their dog.

The fee is $6 per dog and one owner. Each additional owner pays $4 per adult, $1.25 per youth.
