There will be an NFL kickoff this weekend.
While it won’t involve an actual professional football game, there will be season passes up for grabs to some college gridiron action on Saturday.
Mattress Firm South Texas is teaming up with the Coastal Bend Blood Center for the inaugural Need For Life Blood Drive, featuring fun, food, NFL trivia and lots of great prizes.
All donors will receive a complimentary t-shirt and a Texas Roadhouse restaurant coupon. Hot dogs will be provided to the first 50 donors, courtesy of Wienerschnitzel.
Some of the prizes available in a raffle for those who donate include:
- Grill provided by Home Depot.
- Yeti tumblers provided by Gulf Coast Graphic.
- A gift basket provided by the H-E-B at Weber and Holly.
- A tailgate basket provided by Moody’s Meats.
- Season passes to Texas A&M-Kingsville football provided by the school.
- A Houston Texans canopy provided by Batek & Robinson LLP.
- A luxury pillow provided by Mattress Firm.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mattress Firm Moore Plaza, 5425 S. Padre Island Dr.
