Things are heating up on Galveston Island this summer, as Moody Gardens continues the tradition of offering attractions the entire family will enjoy.

Guests are invited to enjoy an underwater adventure inside the Aquarium Pyramid, which recently underwent a $37 million renovation. While there, be sure to say hello to the Humboldt penguins and their new friends inside the seals and sea lion exhibit. You can even touch jellies and stingrays inside the new touch tanks!

Go from rigs to reef inside the two-story, 30,000 gallon Gulf of Mexico Rig Exhibit, which showcases how rigs out in the gulf actually provide an ecosystem to the marine life that call it home. Learn more about our conservation and research efforts as you explore the oceans of the world.

Also, don’t miss out on JAM: Journey Through Amazing Music, in the Discovery Museum. This enhanced exhibit goes behind-the-scenes to show the science and mathematics behind making music in four fascinating galleries. The journey begins in the first gallery where sound waves are made visible.

This year, the Jurassic adventure continues when Dinos Alive returns to Moody Gardens, complete with life-like animatronic dinosaurs, including a full-size Tyrannosaurus Rex and a new film "Waking the T-Rex: The Story of Sue" in the MG 3D Theater.

Looking for something more? Palm Beach and Bands on the Sand will take place each Friday and Saturday night. The musical performance will end in fireworks over Offats Bayou, overlooking the Moody Gardens pyramids.
