Visit La Palmera Mall (5488 S. Padre Island Dr.) on Saturday and you may find yourself caught up in the Grand Opening celebration for the TekYard.
The store will begin at a kiosk across from the children’s play area on the upper level of the mall (above the food court), with plans to expand to a larger storefront later this year. Their goal is to introduce curious minds to new technologies, inspiring new ideas about ways to make life simpler.
Backed by Carnegie Technologies, the TekYard is a technology hub where one can explore new modes of interaction and communication, collaboration and innovation. Visitors will find the latest in Security and Connected Home technology products and services, Telemedicine, Drones, 3D Avatars and other Tek Toys.
Those who drop by from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 19th will enjoy live music and cotton candy, as well as discounts and giveaways (while supplies last).
Free 3D Printed Avatars will be given to the first 50 customers. Everyone will receive 20% off one item with proof of post (simply tag @theTekYard in a Facebook or Instagram post and show a sales associate at checkout).
