Now in its eighth year, it has become a tradition not to be missed for many in Corpus Christi.

South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind is getting their ducks in a row for the annual Rubber Duck Round-Up, a family-oriented fundraiser.

Hundreds of adopted rubber ducks will be taking the plunge at Cole Park on Saturday, May 26th.

Attendees will have the opportunity to win some great gift cards by adopting those all-time favorite bath time toys, which will then be placed in the water for the big race. Even the last place duck will get a prize!

Ducks will take the plunge at approximately 12:45 PM, and may be adopted either on-site or prior to the event by calling Alana at (361) 693-6183.  Adoption certificates will be provided.

The entire event runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and will not only feature the famous rubber duck race, but also live music, food trucks, a petting zoo, pony rides, a coloring contest, "Ring Around the Rubber Duck," and much more.

South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind has also invited other local non profit groups to set up tables in order to spread the word about the great services they provide.

All proceeds will help South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind with repairs to buildings damaged during Hurricane Harvey.
