Bullying can drastically impact a child’s life and can have dangerous outcomes but local activists want to put a stop to that.

The Bullying Ends Now event was held over at Water’s Edge Park in Corpus Christi on Saturday, drawing supporters from around the Coastal Bend.

Held in remembrance of Teddy Molina, a 16-year-old student from Flour Bluff who took his own life in 2012, the event aimed to raise awareness of a trend organizers say must be recognized and needs to end. Bullying, Molina’s family explained, was a factor in the young boy’s life for years.

Ten speakers from across Texas were featured at the event, with organizers emphasizing that one in three middle schoolers are bullied every day.
