CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx — Three people are facing serious charges after police say they put the body of a dead man inside a trash can.
Corpus Christi police say they were called to do a welfare check at a home in the 4500 blocks of Kosarek Drive Monday morning.
When officers arrived and entered the home, they discovered a 59-year-old man's body inside of a trash can.
Investigators determined the man had died a couple of weeks ago.
Officers arrested three people. They are identified as 56-year-old Martin Sauceda, 46-year-old Michelle Castaneda, and 65-year-old Emma Prado. They were all charged with abuse of a corpse.
Investigators are still determining the official cause of death for the 59-year-old man. Police say this is still an on-going investigation.
