CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Miller Bucs will play for at least another week after beating San Antonio Southwest and heading to the regional semifinals.
Miller dominated its 56-6 victory over the Dragons Thursday night at the Alamodome, scoring on their first seven possessions to blow the game open.
That victory puts an exclamation mark on what has already been a memorable season for the Bucs.
For only the sixth time in school history, the Bucs have won at least 12 games in a season.
They now will play the winner of the Veterans Memorial versus San Antonio Veterans Memorial game that will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Buc Stadium.
Miller’s game next week would be played in Corpus Christi if the Eagles win on Saturday.
If the San Antonio team wins, Miller’s next game would be played in San Antonio, likely at the Alamodome.
