CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The IceRays will be ringing in the holiday season with several events scheduled over the weekend at the American Bank Center.

Team president Cassidy Lange of the IceRays and Christina Hunter of Braselton Homes met with KRIS 6 Noon News anchor to discuss the upcoming events.

The team will be conducting their annual Teddy Bear Toss Saturday night at their game against the division-leading Lone Star Brahmas at 7:30 p.m.

Fans are invited to celebrate the IceRays' first goal by throwing teddy bears on the ice and after other goals.

The IceRays will also be wearing ugly sweater-themed jerseys to be auctioned off after the game against the Brahmas.

And on Sunday, the IceRays will also be hosting the “Toys on Ice” skating event to collect toys for area children in need.

The admission to skate is a new unwrapped toy that will be donated to CASA of the Coastal Bend, EFC Center, Mission 911, and the Ark Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth.

The event will take place at the American Bank Center from 1:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
