CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Now that stable-dry upper level high pressure has left the area and is gradually being replaced by unstable low pressure, showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase throughout the Holiday weekend and well into next week. The heaviest rain for Corpus Christi and the coast appears to be early Monday morning centered around daybreak and again during the day on Tuesday. The driest day of the next seven will be tomorrow-Saturday.

Tonight will be very warm and humid with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 77.

Saturday expect variable sunshine breezy hot and humid again with a high near 90.

Saturday night we will have scattered thunderstorms to our west still cloudy breezy warm and sticky with a low of 74.

Sunday expect more clouds with isolated thundershowers and a high of 86.

Showers and thunderstorms become likely Sunday night and Monday morning with locally heavy rain and possible flooding in low lying areas, expect a rain cooled low of 68 and a high on Memorial Day of only 84 with our weather quieting down during the afternoon hours.

Have a safe Holiday weekend.
