CORPUS CHRISTI — All eyes on the Gulf of Mexico. Barry is forecast to ramp up to hurricane speed today. And it's forecast to come ashore as a Cat. 1 hurricane on Saturday morning in Louisiana. East Texas will get some of the rain associated with Barry but Louisiana will bear the brunt of the storm.
We will stay on the hot and humid side of things. A few stray showers may drift down from the Houston area for the next few days but we don't expected any significant totals.
Today: Partly cloudy with a stray shower. High 95.
Friday: Partly cloudy with a stay shower. High 96
Saturday: Partly cloudy with a stray shower. High 96.
Sunday : Mostly sunny and very warm. High 97.
