CORPUS CHRISTI — Lots of moisture continues to stream in off the Gulf of Mexico and is increasing the dewpoints in South Texas. That resulted in dense fog in the area early this morning and will result in more fog tonight and into Friday morning.

Tonight we'll see a few extra clouds come into the area and then we'll see another round of dense dropping visibility below a mile for many locations. Motorists are urged to use caution with overnight and early morning travels. Be sure to have low beam or fog lights on, slow down and give yourself plenty of time to arrive to your destinations. Morning lows will only drop into the upper 50s to low 60s. Wind: SSW 4-8 MPH

Friday we'll begin with the fog and eventually get into the upper 70s around midday when the cold front eases into the area. It won't be a big blast of cold air; instead it will be cooler air gradually filtering in throughout the day. High: 78 Wind: NNW 10-15 MPH.

Saturday morning will be chilly with upper 40s over a good portion of South Texas. That will lead to a beautiful Saturday afternoon with lots of sun and seasonal highs in the low 70s with drier air. High: 71 Wind: ENE 5-10 MPH

On Sunday, the clouds will start to roll back along with more humidity and warmer temperatures. This will be a direct result of the next cold front on Monday night. High: 78 Wind: SSE 10-15 MPH

Monday will be very warm, to just downright hot for some inland locations. We'll look for 85 here in Corpus Christi with some low 90s possible inland along with increasing clouds. The cold front will push through late Monday night and into Tuesday morning with only a few showers, but much cooler air will filter in behind the boundary. Tuesday looks mainly cloudy with temperatures starting in the 50s and ending in the upper 60s in the afternoon.
